Serving with the
love of Christ

AMAS
Founded on September 6, 1970, in the city of Palmeira, AMAS was born out of the Evangelical Mennonite Church’s concern for the lack of a safe and suitable space to carry out social work. The goal was to meet the urgent needs of countless families living in extreme poverty, whose children faced daily vulnerability and even homelessness while their parents worked. The organization's main founder was Professor and Pastor Peter Pauls Junior. Since its beginning, AMAS has carried the motto: 'Serving with the love of Christ.

Testimonies
See what saying about AMAS.
“My story with AMAS began in February 2020, when I got a place for my son. I felt very welcome and grateful for the love and dedication to the children. I could count on the team and in the most difficult times, they held my hands. I will never be able to thank you enough for all the help. I felt welcome and loved like I haven’t felt in a long time. The educational kits are always a new adventure, my son loves them! I couldn’t have a better place to leave my son, you are rich in values, love and dedication! Thank you so much for everything, we love you!”
“AMAS is very important to my son, the developed activities are full of life lessons, and he learns many things related to living within society. All activities are important, but one that really stood out was Christmas during the pandemic: my son participated in the theater, dedicated himself, learned a lot, and felt fulfilled. The children were unable to participate in the activities in person, but all the educators at the unit did a wonderful and important job, even remotely. I can only thank all the members of AMAS. Thank you very much!”
“For me, one of the last year biggest challenges was reinventing how to approach children and families during the pandemic and issues with IT and technology. Although it was a difficult time, it was full of growth and learning. I have more to be thankful for than to complain about. I miss being with the children in person, but although this time was full of challenges, it was also full of achievements! This time at AMAS in 2020 was a turning point in my life. My love for the profession, for wanting to do more for children and to keep myself professionally up to date blossomed within me.”
